Almost like a modelling amp but 100% analog tube tone!

As you must know, these amps are great for modders and tweakers – and for good reason. They are a real bargain, very well built, easy to modify and can be made to sound great! Adding the BitMo Trio Mods brings new dimensions to this amp.
BitMo Duo Control
Combines a Tweed Style Tone Control and Fat Boost switch into one push-pull pot!
The Duo kit contains the parts, instructions, drilliing template and decals for a Tweed Style Tone Control that goes from mellow to bright and doesn't suck the life out of the signal chain. Plus, when you pull the knob out, a healthy dose of Fat Boost is added. With the switch off, the tone is similar (imho) to a tweed Fender Princeton or a Vox AC-5. You can go from sparkling clean (without the mud!) to to a great blues overdrive. With the knob pulled out, you get a fat boost in bass and gain and the tone control goes from a full-bodied clean, through a nice full-throated crunch, all the way “to 11” with a range from sweet singing distortion to a raging mayhem. This mod actually involves 3 different areas of the amp circuit. All positions of the control give a range of voicings that respond to your touch and the setting of the volume control on the amp and on the guitar.
BitMo 3-Way Voicing/Gain Switch
The kit contains the parts and instructions for a 3-way switch that controls voicing, gain and overdrive charictistics of your EVJ.
The first position of the switch goes from clean to the overdrive with which you are already familiar - but with a bright option to voice it more like an "American Blackface". The second, "British" position boosts the bass, mids and gain and adds a nice crunch. The third "Top Boost" position goes from sweet singing distortion to a raging mayhem. All three positions have distinctively different voicings that respond to your touch and the setting of the volume control on the amp and on the guitar. It works especially well with the the BitMo Duo Control giving a total of six voicings to this amp.
Check out the quality of theBitMo decals! Applied properly, they look like the factory labels.

Here’s some of the feedback from my BitMo kits:
MOTHER OF GENE DAVID! Mo is debinibly mo!
Again, I'm simply stunned at the difference your two kits made. I'm tempted
to pick up a combo to mod without the MM iron, just to see how it sounds.
This mod takes the valve junior to the Matchless level, and it's easy to install
Excellent mod. This amp just sizzles now. +++
Very, very well done!
Thanks are in order sir! You just transformed my Valve Junior Combo into a tone machine.
Between the TRIO mods and the JJ's I had in place, this amp has become my favorite one to play. And that's going agaist my old
trusty Dual Recto (2 channel) JTM-45 Clone and a Peavey Classic 30. I can't say thanks enough!
Warnings, etc:
While these mods are easy to do and reversible, you will void your warrantee by soldering and drilling.
The kit will work with both Epiphone Valve Junior head or combo (the instructions and support only cover Version 2 or 3 of the Combo and all Heads.)
I also recommend the head over the combo. Different speakers really affect the range of tone. If you want it to sound Fenderish, use a Jensen. If you want it to sound like a Marshall try a Celestion. Vox, go Blue. Weber and Eminance sell a full range of speaker flavors. Mix and match!
Tools you will need – screwdriver, soldering iron, solder, eyeglass screwdriver, wire stripper, needle nosed pliers, spray on acrylic sealer for the decals, and drill/bits.There can be some dangerous voltages in tubes amps so be careful!
I’m sure you will love this upgrade!
I welcome questions and suggestions and appreciate your feedback.
Thanks for looking,
